Winterfest Weekend Update

Downstate had a strong showing this weekend at Winterfest! In addition to our teams' successes on the court, we were proud to hear from so many other non-Downstate coaches, officials, and parents, just how impressed they were with Downstate as a whole. 

Downstate is more than a volleyball club; it's a family.  

16 White Coach Lauren Riccardi said this as teams gathered around the finals court to support 17 Black:

"At least 4 teams, so many coaches and other parents cheering on 17 Black as they took on a tough opponent!... Downstate sticks together. We are downstate! Great showing at Hartford-and it is only the beginning!"

16 Mirage Rachel Mendes:

"Great learning weekend with lots of ups and downs but plenty of heart through it all"

17 Black - Took Gold in Open

17 White - Finished 6th in American

17 Cobras - Finished 7th in 18 Open

16 Black - Lost in the finals, finishing 2nd in Open

16 White - Finished 5th in National
