Downstate Juniors VBC, Inc.

All practices originally scheduled for Sunday, 2-26-12, are cancelled.  Downstate will be hosting the GEVA Boys Regional Championships for the 17 and 18 boys, that day.

This weekend at The College of New Rochelle our team did an amazing job! Besides coming in 1st place we all had so much fun! This being my second tournament, I have already learned so much and I am excited for our next. Our team, overall, played many great games and gave it our all. When I wasn't playing you could see the look of determination on everyone’s faces. Then, when I did play, I could hear the rest of the team cheering on the side. It made me realize how dedicated we all really are. Once we moved on and played another team (DIGS) we were very intimidated by the size of the players. When we started playing, our nerves settled down and our confidence definitely boosted. After winning against that team we moved on to the finals against Alpha Gamma. It was very scary and very exciting. It was all up to that last game, which would determine whether we came in 1st or 2nd. After an exciting match and a long day we were all excited to leave CHAMPIONS! This tournament was a great experience and I am so proud of our team! Great job girls!
