Downstate hosts adult open gym, every Friday, from 7:30p to midnight. We have 4 courts of co-ed volleyball, at varying skill levels - come join the fun!

Do you have any advice to offer parents? Getting your kids involved in team sports is a gift you give them for life. Volleyball is a game that instills confidence, commitment, teamwork, strategic thinking and so much more. Once they’re in sports, parents can never be too positive when supporting them. After a great game or a rough match, players are looking for positivity and understanding and support. Nothing beats a hug from mom and dad.

All practices originally scheduled for Sunday, 2-26-12, are cancelled. Downstate will be hosting the GEVA Boys Regional Championships for the 17 and 18 boys, that day.

The best junior volleyball players in the area...
will gather at the Downstate Athletic Center, on Friday, March 9th, for USA Volleyball National High Performance Tryouts. Participants in the National HP tryouts often receive invitations to various levels of High Performance Camps and the best of the best receive invitations to compete on national level teams at next years USA Volleyball High Performance National Championships.
Registration will open at http://usavolleyball.org, by November 1st, 2011.
The National High Performance program is a pipeline program of the U.S. National Team(s).
